A Meal For The Maggots
A Meal For The Maggots
From the devilishly dark mind of Lee Richmond, author of 232 Jericho Avenue, Tits and Teeth, and PolterGary.
A five course, deliciously demented anthology, and no after-dinner mint to refresh the palate.
- THE HERETIC – A man, pushed to the limit by preachy, god-fearing folk, enacts a very bloody, very public revenge.
- INFOMERCIAL – Television addict, Charlie Reynolds loves nothing more than a Friday night, sat drinking beer and watching gameshows. When a new commercial appears on the TV screen, Charlie finds himself driven to do something about his waning marriage. Something his long-suffering wife definitely wouldn’t approve of.
- HARDCORE VIOLENCE V – SAN MALVADO – Milton Payne is a computer avatar who finds himself sickened by the horrendous acts of violence he is forced to commit by a higher, unseen power. As the body count grows and Milton’s health decreases, he finds himself thrown into one horrific chase after another, as the local law enforcement, and eventually the military try and put an end to Milton’s unwitting warpath.
- I CAN FEEL MYSELF ROTTING – A man lies, decomposing beneath St Augustine’s Cemetery. While his body died many months prior, his consciousness remained. Now, he finds himself alone, in the dark with nothing to do but reflect on his past life, try to remain sane while the bugs feast on his flesh, and complain that he is more than aware of his own decay.
- THE ALL TOO BRIEF REBIRTH OF REBECCA HARDY – Rebecca Hardy lies, barely clinging to life, on an operating table, while the hospital’s chief surgeon tries desperately to save her. Rebecca was found by paramedics, having been viciously attacked and left for dead. When Rebecca finally loses her fight and quietly slips away, the real nightmare begins, and the operating theatre staff will come to regret that the paramedics didn’t leave her where they found her.
